Excalibur is a collaboration between the Xerox Palo Alto Research
Center and the Research Institute for Advanced Computer Science
at NASA. Its goal is to develop technology to enable compilers
for data-parallel languages (like Fortran 90 or Matlab) to map
data objects across the processors of a distributed-memory parallel
computer.

Reports on parcftp.xerox.com:/pub/excalibur:

csl9009.ps.Z Optimal expression evaluation for data-parallel
              architectures. By Gilbert, Schreiber. Revised
version appeared in JPDC Vol. 13, pp. 58-64, 1991.

csl9211.ps.Z Optimal evaluation of array expressions on massively
parallel machines. By Chatterjee, Gilbert, Schreiber,
Teng. This is the tech report version with all the
mathematics; an updated but shorter version is to
              appear in TOPLAS.

csl9213.ps.Z Automatic array alignment in data-parallel programs.
By Chatterjee, Gilbert, Schreiber, Teng. Presented
              at ACM POPL, 1993.

csl9306.ps.Z Generating local addresses and communication sets for
data-parallel programs. By Chatterjee, Gilbert, Long,
Schreiber, Teng. Presented at ACM PPOPP, 1993. To
              appear in JPDC.

csl9307.ps.Z Mobile and replicated alignment of arrays in data-
parallel programs. By Chatterjee, Gilbert, Schreiber.
              Presented at Supercomputing 93.

csl9314.ps.Z Modeling data-parallel programs with the alignment-
              distribution graph. By Chatterjee, Gilbert,
Schreiber, Sheffler. To appear in J. Programming
Languages. This is an extended and revised version
of tech report CSL-93-14, which was originally titled
              "The alignment-distribution graph".

csl9406.ps.Z Aligning parallel arrays to reduce communication.
By Sheffler, Schreiber, Gilbert, Chatterjee. To
              appear at Frontiers 95.

csl9407.ps.Z Array distribution in data-parallel programs. By
              Chatterjee, Gilbert, Schreiber, Sheffler. Presented
at the 1994 Ithaca compiler workshop.
